- Genius! What a great idea for a meetup. I would definitely try harder at attending any event that allowed me to attain a new and random skill, or to improve an existing skill.

An approach whereby the learning meetup is followed by one or more practice meetups would be beneficial--such as, learn how to basket weave in one meetup, practice basket weaving in follow-on meetups, and possibly end with a basket weaving contest.
